Wakefield Township prepares for full agenda tonight

By IAN MINIELLY iminielly@yourdailyglobe.com WAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP — Wakefield Township has an extensive agenda for today’s meeting, which begins at 5:30 p.m. in the township hall. There are eight reports and appearances, covering everything from water and zoning to trail reports. Under new business, the treasurer’s broken computer and the town hall beverage cooler are being disposed of. A resolution to approve the purchase of new election equipment is being brought before the board, as well as building and zoning permit revisions. Spring clean-up is scheduled for Friday, May 19, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., and Saturday, May 20, between 9 a.m. and noon at the Western Upper Peninsula Recycling Center on 519 North and Planter Road.
