Township Tax Information
Application for deferment of summer taxes
Summer Tax bills mailed out on June 30th Due September 15th
Winter bills mailed out on Nov 30th Due February 17th
Summer Taxes and 1% Administration fee are payable 07-01-2025. 1% interest per month or portion of month is added after 09-15-2025. A 3% penalty is added after 02-17-2026. Unpaid taxes are turned over to the Gogebic County Treasurer on 03-03-2026.
Winter Taxes due and 1% Administration fee are due by 02-17-2026. A 3% penalty is added after 02-17-2026. Unpaid taxes are turned over to the Gogebic County Treasurer on 03-03-2026.
All payments that I receive after 03-02-2026 will be returned to you and you will need to contact the Gogebic County Treasurer.
I will be holding office hours on the following dates:
Monday, December 29, 2025
9-12 at the Township Hall
1-5 at my home office at 250 Old US-2, Wakefield
Monday, February 16, 2026
9-1 at the Township Hall
Monday, March 2, 2026
9-12 and 1-4 at the Township Hall

Make your check payable to Wakefield Township Treasurer. If paying with cash, please remit the exact amount.
